Customer Services Officer (Air Freight)

Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate with internal and external customers
  • To arrange document approval from the respective authorities
  • To update customer on the status of shipment each leg/ tracking system
  • To monitor the daily status of clinical shipments
  • To arrange temperature control vehicle on a timely basis
  • To instruct to custodian regarding temperature requirement
  • To plan and arrange custom clearance, both inbound and outbound
  • To monitor daily operation of all shipments to ensure the efficiency of Operations & the quality of output.
  • Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission — specifically, support management reporting, information flow and management, business process, on-time performance and organizational planning.
  • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (OPS, HR, IT and Finance), through operational improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
  • Resolve day-to-day staff performance issues and proactively resolve potential or actual problems with shipments.
  • Ensure appropriate procedures (as per SOPs) & regulatory compliance matters are being followed in the processing of shipments.
  • Keep up-to-date with airlines & customs requirements and timetables.
  • Conduct Induction Program for new staff of Operations.
  • Network with cooperative companies (forwarders/ truckers/ 3PL, etc) to secure operational back up and read industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Higher diploma / Degree holder
  • At least 3-4 years experience gained from forwarder
  • Able to work independently and solve problems for customers
  • Good communication skills
  • Good comment of both English and Mandarin are preferred
