Duties:
- Lead and manage the Quality team responsible for Jewellery for quality control and quality assurance
- Coordinate quality inspections with internal teams and external suppliers across China, Asia, to ensure consistent product quality and process improvements in supplier site, to finally ensure the supplier deliver “right product at the first”
- Monitor, verify and train the teams on diamond and gemstone grading and certification
- Conduct periodical training to the team developing their own skills, to assure the quality procedures are consistently implemented and the yearly goals are met.
- Conduct root cause analysis and manage corrective actions (CAR/8D) for quality problems found after inspection, customer complaints or returns from market.
- Monitor supplier quality performance and prepare detailed and concise communications to the factory management team when needed
- Conduct regularly factory audits and onboarding assessments across Asia
- Propose and drive continuous improvement and maintain alignment with international standards and company’ brands expectations.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Quality Control and Assurance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the jewellery industry.
- Available to travel in China, asia, especially in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Vietnam, Thailand and India
- Familiarity with jewellery inspection tools (e.g., calipers, microscopes, diamond detectors, traction tool).
- Knowledge of the most common laboratory tests for Jewelry
- strong understanding of AQL sampling standards, gold weight tolerance, and certificate verification.
- Experience in diamond and gemstone grading and certification review.
- Excellent vision (no color blindness or weakness), hand dexterity, and attention to detail.
- Excellent organization skills, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), preferable PowerBI
